Demeter in education - community creative arts programmes

The ultimate aim of our community creative arts programmes is to raise awareness of Domestic Abuse in the wider community. In order to reach some of the more isolated areas of our county, it is our intention to host programmes and performances in theatre and non-theatre spaces.

The subject matter for this work will be inspired by the motivation to provide a `voice` for those who have experienced Domestic Violence at anytime in their lives.

The creative arts programmes will strive to understand express and find a voice for participants past, present and future experiences. The process of using the creative arts, harnessing expression and firing the imagination, is an amazing tool for raising the self-esteem and confidence of those involved. All the while strengthening our sense of 'community'.
